Year 2 Class Trip to Manchester Fire Museum

Year 2 will be visiting The Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum in Rochdale on Wednesday 16^th October. The museum is small and tells the story of fire-fighting and how the service has changed and adapted over the years. The children will look in detail at what the ‘fire service’ was like during the Great Fire of London and will complete some classroom-based activities around this theme. They will then have a guided tour of the museum and the different fire engines and will even have the opportunity to ty on some uniforms.
