We care, we learn, we grow

Year 3

Date: 4th Feb 2022 @ 9:25am

I am really proud of another amazing week of work from the Year 3 children!

They are really growing up and working so hard in all areas of their learning. Last week we began looking at interesting openers that engage the reader and hook them in! We discussed what we enjoyed as a reader and how we could make our writing fabulous! Please look on twitter for our fabulous writing.

We have now moved on to endings - it is important to sustain the readers interest right to the end of the book. I can't wait to see what they produce!

Our maths is quite challenging as we are learning about fractions of amounts and working out fractions of groups such as is 1/6 is 5 what is the whole?

We had fun learning about the Anglo-Saxons and how some of town names and county names date back all the way to the Anglo-Saxon times!

We are looking at plants in science and we learnt about the history of plants and the importance of the study of plants.

Well done Year 3!
