Welcome back!

We hope you enjoyed a lovely break with your family over the half term and that you are all coping well with the new lockdown measures in place. We have been advised that schools will remain open therefore we have again reviewed our health and safety proceedures to ensure that school is as safe as it can be. It has been lovely to see all the children back in school and today we opened up our virtual, weekly celebration assembly to all parents and carers so we could share all the great work that is taking place in school.  It was lovely to share what the children have been doing, I know that the children loved it too. We even had a pet tortoise join us!

This week we also received a lovely letter from ther Director of Children's Services which thanked us for our work in contact tracing over the half term break. It was great to be recognised for the work that we do during these difficult times. 

Whole school - Children in Need

This year we will be taking part in Children in Need on Friday, 13th November. Children can come into school wearing their own clothes or anything spotty for a donation of £1.

Reception new starters 2021

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to invite parents and carers of children due to start school in September 2021 to school, due to new restrictions under lockdown. However, I am very happy to arrange a telephone chat with any new parents and carers. We would be grateful if you could encourage any parents or carers you know who are thinking of sending their children to Outwood to ring school and book an appointment.

Finally please have a look at our new school tour on the front page of our website. This is great to also share with any potental new starters. See who you can spot, you'll see lots of familiar faces!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to welcoming back the year 2 children who have been self isolating on Monday.
