We care, we learn, we grow

This week.....

Date: 16th Oct 2020 @ 6:15pm

Wow what another brilliant week we have had at Outwood! I am really happy to share that so far we have not had any positive Covid cases at the school. The children and staff have been great at adapting to the new way of working. Even with all the cleaning and handwashing this has not affected our rich curriculum.

Today the children shared what they have been learning as part of Black History Month in our virtual assembly. I was really impressed by the knowledge and depth of their learning and also how well they could articulate this in front of the whole school from Reception to Year 6. The teachers will be adding some of this work to their class pages on the website too.

Please have a look at our Twitter page too to see some of the excellent work. Year 6 have loved learning and performing the poem 'Portable Paradise' by Roger Robinson. There is a video on our Twitter page of the children performing this and the man himself even tweeted back  with the message, 'Wow amazing , great job Year 6 Outwood.' We have also added our class reflections for you to see too.

Here is the link so that you can see for yourselves, https://twitter.com/OutwoodPriSch.

I would also like to thank all of our parents and carers for your continued support during these difficult times as together we are stronger and can get through it.

Kind regards,

Mrs Maude
