Over the last few weeks we have been learning about Bonfire night, Diwali and Remembrance Day in nursery. 
For Bonfire night we watched fireworks on the interactive board which inspired us to make firework pictures. We built a bonfire using sticks and talked about keeping safe on bonfire night. We also made edible sparklers and used them to draw shapes in the air before we ate them! 

We learnt about the Hindu festival 'Diwali'. We made Rangoli patterns using various materials, we made diva lamps and we used henna to make mehndi patterns on our hands. 
 

We learnt about the brave men and women who went to war, and how we thank them and remember them on Remembrance Day. We worked together to make a poppy picture and we managed a two minute silence when we thought about the brave service men and women.
