English - Year 1’s version of Supertato - Opening

This term Year 1 have been exploring the story of Supertato. As a class we changed the supervillain in the story from Evil Pea to a new character called Lightening Bob. We rehearsed a text map as part of talk for writing. Then the children wrote the opening scene. They worked really hard and they produced some really good writing, showing lots of progress from their writing at the start of Year 1.
