Celebrations!

We welcomed our children back to school this week after half term with a Halloween Party. The children came to school dressed up and we had a fantastic day enjoying Halloween activities and a party in the afternoon. A great start to our topic on Celebrations!

The children learnt about Diwali. We watched how Jessica prepared for Diwali and how she celebrated the festival. She taught us about preparing the house with diva lamps, making special food and decorating the front door with Rangoli patterns. We made Rangoli patterns with various resources and made our own diva lamps using clay.

On Friday, we did lots of bonfire night related activities and learnt how to stay safe on bonfire night. 
We look forward to hearing about the fireworks the children enjoyed watching at the weekend.
