A great first week

Year 4 have had a lovely first week back.  We have started our new science topic - electricity and are looking forward to making circuits and our own torch.  In maths we started learning 6 and 9 times tables - the children worked really hard and learnt a new song about the 6 x tables.  We also learnt about Boudicca and her rebellion against the Romans and we are beginning to look at writing our very own newspaper article.  Part of that was to act as journalists and interview two characters from Escape from Pompeii - Lydia and Ashton acted these parts really well and the rest of the class were brilliant journalists.

This week was our first Dojo time and the children had a great time playing board games and some art activities - they deserved it for their efforts this week.  Our Year 4 Eco councillors have also enjoyed a morning planting in Heald Green this morning - well done to Sebastian and Dua!!  There are some pictures of this on class dojo.
