Welcome to the EYFS page where you can find out about some of the exciting things we are doing in our provision as well as having access to information and advice to help your child progress in the early years.  Hopefully, you have signed up to Class Dojo so we can keep in touch on a daily basis if required – this is especially helpful if you are a a working parent or carer and don’t get into class very often.

General Reminders

PE: Friday morning.  PE kits to be worn after October half-term.  Children need shorts, white t-shirt, pumps or trainers and jogging bottoms/sweatshirts for the winter weather.  Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly named.

We ask for £1 each week or £5 for the half-term, to be brought in an envelope with your child's name.  The fund goes toward paying for special celebration snacks (Chinese New Year, Pancake Tuesday etc) for making fresh playdough with the children and other cooking experience, plus buying other special resources to enhance your child's learning journey.

Homework realted to your child's learning can be viewed and downloaded below.  It is set on a Friday and we ask for it to be returned to school by the following Wednesday to be marked.  Library reading packs will be given out on a Friday and will be changed for a new pack, once the other has been returned.

Please support your child with their reading scheme book and make a comment or sign in the comments section.  Let us know if you have any concerns at all.

Knowledge Organiser

Knowledge organisers are used to help your child talk labout what they've been learning in class.  Feel free to use the link below to see some of the key vocabulary and knowledge we will be covering through this term's topic.  True learning takes place when children can make meaningful links outside of school - in their local environment and through everyday life experiences - such as going to the library, walking through Heald Green village or taking a train into Stockport or Manchester.  Enjoy being a vital part of your child's learning journey!
